In this pranayam the breath is regulated with the help of the nostril. It helps encourages mind to higher levels of discrimination, concentration and thoughts. Gives more energy and oxygen to the physical body and helps calm your nerves and improve circulation.

Procedure:

1. Sit in Padmasana or Siddhasana and close your eyes.

2. Now press and close the right nostril with the right hand thumb. Take in a deep breath through the left nostril.

3. As you have taken a full breath, close the left nostril with the middle, ring and little finger of your right hand. Now take away the thumb from the right nostril and slowly let the air out, expelling the breath fully.
