Housing Scheme 08 —
After two years the Delhi Development Authority’s offering of affordable houses for citizens has been launched on today i.e. 6th August.
Up for grabs are 5,010 one, two and three-bedroom flats, which will be allotted through a computerised draw of lots. All freehold properties, the flats are within the price range of Rs 7.2 lakh and Rs 77.8 lakh depending on size and location.
Total number of houses : 5010
Sale of application forms : 6th Aug. to 16th September, 2008.
Most expensive house
3-bedroom flat in Motia Khan; priced at Rs. 77.8 lakh.
Most affordable house : Rs. 7.2 lakh for One-bedroom flat in Narela.
Tentative date of draw : End of December 2008 or early January 2009.
Those interested have to fill in an application form and submit it with a draft of Rs 1.5 lakh as refundable deposit. The draw is expected to be held by December 2008 or January 2009.
The application forms, along with a brochure on the scheme, will be available between August 6 and September 16 at the Delhi Development Authority’s sales counter in Vikas Sadan and in almost all branches of the Axis Bank, HDFC, ICICI and IDBI. The form is available for Rs 100.
