Meaning of Dream

It is not necessary that we dream only when we are asleep. We dream even while we are awake. But at that time this process goes in our subconscious mind. While we are asleep, we can view these dreams with our conscious mind and record them in our memory. Your brain kicks around emotions, thoughts, ideas, actions and interactions of the short- term memory. These dreams influence your life. Your mind is also processing spiritual data, your beliefs, whether or not you violated them, your information gained through psychic intuition and of course, and any communication from God. All this data is a form of chaos, and your mind puts it all together in a form of visual screenplay, a medley of sight, sound, emotion and imagined interactivity. This is a dream.

Types of dreams

Daydream:

It is classified as a level of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. Day dreams occurs during our waking hours when we let our imagination carry us away. We lose ourselves in our imagined scenario and fantasy when our minds begin to wander and our level of awareness decreases.

Recurring Dreams:

As the name says, this dream repeat themselves. It may be either in story or theme. These are generally positive, but most often they are nightmares. It normally recurs because a conflict depicted in the dream remains unresolved and ignored. Once you have found a solution to the problem, your recurring dreams may cease.

Nightmare:

A nightmare is a disturbing dream as it causes the dreamer to wake up and then they feel anxious and frightened. These may be response to real life trauma and situations. These type of nightmares fall under a special category called Post-traumatic stress nightmare.

Sometime nightmares may also occur as we have ignored or refused to accept a particular life situation. Most people who have had a family history of psychiatric problems, bad drug experiences, people who have contemplated suicide, and/or rocky relationships may have regular nightmare. Nightmares are an indication of a fear that needs to be removed.

Prophetic Dreams:

Also known as precognitive dreams, Prophetic dream foretells the future. Our mind at that time is able to piece together bits of information and observation that we normally overlook.

Healing Dreams:

These dreams give messages to the dreamer about their health. Healing Dreams may tell the dreamer that they need to take care of their health and therefore go to the dentist or doctor.

Epic Dreams:

These dreams cannot be ignored by the dreamer, as they are so huge, so compelling, and vivid. The tiniest thing about the dream remains in the mind. You cannot forget this dream for long time as the details of such dreams remain with you for years.

Lucid Dream:

This type of dreams occurs when you realize you are dreaming in the middle of your dream. Do not worry. This is only a dream! Most dreamers wake up once they realize that they are only dreaming. Other dreamers remain in the lucid state of dreaming. They become an active participant in their dream, make decisions in their dreams and influence the outcome of dream without awakening.
