It is often seen that children make lots of hustle and bustle while having their meal. They do not want to have proper meal rather prefer junk food. These fast food create lots of health problem among them. Obesity is the most common. To avoid kids from these problems it is the responsibility of parents to make healthy eating habits among them.
Here are some healthy eating habits for your kid.
- Instead of giving them giving them high fat food give them low fat food.
- Children often get bored with one type of food. Give them variety of foods but with all
necessary ingredients.
- Make the habit of your child to have cereals, breads, and other grain products,
vegetables and fruits.
- Dairy products should also have low-fat. Lean meats, and foods should be prepared with
little or no fat.
- Maintain a healthy body weight of your child by enjoying regular physical activity and
healthy eating.
Some tips for Parents
- Only one food should be introduced at a time. Serve the new food with familiar foods.
- Encourage the child to taste a new food. But never coax the child to eat it.
- Avoid hard small, and round, smooth and sticky foods as they may cause choking and
aspiration.
- A well-balanced meal should be served to your child.
Other important tips
- Always wash your hands while preparing food. Also thoroughly wash fruits, vegetables,
food containers, and utensils before using.
- Store foods in clean containers.
- Never use food as a reward.
