Early to bed, early to rise- Follow a routine if you want a healthy life. You may not necessarily get up early morning and sleep at eight, but try sleeping and getting up at the same time daily.

Drink a glass of water- Right after u get up, rather then taking a bed tea take a glass of water. This should be done before brushing or freshening up. A dash of lemon and one teaspoon of honey may be added to your preference. This water will help clearing your bowls and make your body retrieve the water lost during your sleep. Gradually you may increase your intake of water up to seven glasses.

Brush daily- Brush twice daily and keep your toothbrush exclusive. Don’t use toothpaste in more amounts than usual and don’t scrub vigorously; it’s the brushing that actually cleans the teeth. Your toothpaste should be fluoride free and non-detergent based, preferably with herbal proportions. After brushing clean your tongue, massage your gums and gargle a few times.

For healthy teeth and gums always chew a piece of fresh fruit or salad after every meal. This will free the teeth with stuck in food particles and germs.

Have a bath- Bathe daily; use a mild soap to cleanse your body. Your soap may be medicated, herbal or glycerin based as per your liking. Avoid soaps with sharp artificial fragrances. Put a few drops of disinfectant or cologne in the bathing water; scrub lightly and in circular motions to improve blood circulation in the body. Pat yourself dry rather then rubbing using a clean towel. Areas that sweat more should be cleansed frequently and talc should be used rather than deodorants.

Skin care: Use a water-based moisturizer daily; wash your face and other exposed parts frequently. Expose your skin to the soft morning sun for a couple of minutes each morning so as to fulfill vitamin D requirement of the body. Excessive use of perfumes and deodorants may cause skin irritation, darkening and even skin cancer. Keep the skin well watered and aerated. For this drink plenty of water, wear soft cotton fabrics and keep your makeup minimum.
To avoid crows feet and laugh lines, smile a lot, frown less and whistle softly daily for 2 to 5 mins. This will relax and exercise your face muscles extensively.

Sleep adequately: Sleep for a minimum of 8 hours daily. Avoid drinking tea, coffee or alcoholic beverages right before sleeping; drink a glass of warm milk instead. Juices at night may cause stomach bloating as fruit juice undergoes fermentation in the body to make alcohols. Use a soft and thin pillow to support your head and neck.
