Home remedy for common problems

Mother Nature has gifted us with some wonderful natural products to cure all ills. These natural products do not have any side effects on our body like other modern man made medicines. India is also famous for these natural products. In every typical Indian house you can see that rather than these modern medicines people prefer to take the natural products for some common problems like cough, cold, or simple fever.
Given below some simple home remedies for such common problems. So the next time you or anyone at home is not feeling well, head for the kitchen cabinet instead of your medicinal kit.
Listed below are a host of remedies for some common ailments.
Tooth ache
- If you are having not severe tootache then chew a clove or dip a piece of cotton wool in clove oil and place on the aching tooth for best results. Asthma - A couple of cups of strong coffee may help in asthma.
Cold
- For common cold mix a gram of dalchini powder with a teaspoon of honey to curb a cold. Another remedy is ginger tea which also works effectively. You can also ginger, clove, bay leaf and black pepper in this tea. Consume it twice a day and reduce the intake as the cold disappears.
Cough
- The best remedy for dry cough is a gram of turmeric powder added to a teaspoon of honey for curing dry cough. Chewing a cardamom for a long time is also effective.
Cuts
- If you get any cut by a sharp tool then black pepper on hand for times is good remedy. You can also apply turmeric on the effected area to stop blood immediately.
Constipation
- A teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey mixed in 8 ounces of warm water can act as a cure for constipation.
Hiccups
- For hiccups try warm slice of lemon and sprinkle salt, sugar and black pepper on it. The lemon should be eaten until the hiccups stop.
Body ache
- For body ache try this simple remedy. Take ten tulsi leaves in one cup of water and boil it until the syrup is reduced to half a cup. Cool it and add salt to it. Take this mixture daily to stop body ache. You can also take half a gram of dalchini powder with one-teaspoon honey at least twice a day for best results.
Itching
- If you are having problem because of itching then simply apply neem oil to the affected area or make a fresh paste of some neem leaves and apply externally. You can take a bath with boil neem leaves in the hot water.
Diabetes
- Bitter gourd, better known as karela is the best remedy for diabetes. You can also take ten tulsi leaves, ten neem leaves and ten belpatras with a glass of water early morning on an empty stomach. It will keep your sugar levels under control.
