At Texas zoos, bond with the beasts-Look at the animals, and they’ll look at you
The statesman writes in its article “SAN ANTONIO — This place is a zoo. Just look at all those animals running, screaming, flailing and flinging food at each other.
I’m talking about the young humans. There must be a few thousand of them at the San Antonio Zoo on this school day. They’re drawing fascinated stares from the other species, who watch from the safety of their enclosures.
The hyena is not laughing.
The kids are, though. A day at the zoo seems to make everybody happy, and Texas has some first-rate places to commune with critters.
