Khandala is a charming little hill station situated on the western slopes of the Sahyadris. Located on the Mumbai-Pune highway at an altitude of 625 m. Khandala is smaller and calmer. The hill stations offer the beautiful scenic views of the surrounding hills. During monsoon, with the ravishing waterfalls, it attracts the tourists towards it.
Khandala is a hill station, which attracts the tourists with its spectacular scenery, verdant hills, deep green valleys, beautiful lakes and waterfall. Khandala is situated 101 km southeast of Mumbai and 69 km from Pune. It is 5 km from Lonavala.
Climate
The climate is very pleasant all through the year. The temperatures vary from 12°C to 36°C with an annual rainfall of 450 cms. October to May is the best time to visit. Avoid the monsoon season.

By Air: Pune (66 kms) is the nearest airport.
By Rail: All trains fro Mumbai to Pune and the south stop at Lonavala.
By Road: Located is on Mumbai-Pune highway, so it is well connected with other part of the state.
