Nightmares

Another type of dream is the nightmares. These dreams often lead the dreamer to wake up and feel anxious and generally they are frightened to see such dreams. It can cause terror not only in children but in some cases also in adults. Sometime the same scene repeats again and again, thus not giving the dreamer any relief or a chance to rest.
Sometime these nightmares can become problem in many children. In some cases even the adults are so frightened by these nightmares and become so intense they believe they are interacting with evil from outside themselves. One thing, which is the most important is never discount anyone experiences with nightmares as there are so much things unknown about the universe that cannot be explained.
Now the question arises how to overcome the nightmares. The best advice to be given to one, who is struggling with nightmares, is to tell them to get a hold of their thoughts! Never fear of panic, as these are the worst enemies in dealing with nightmares. The more you panic the bigger the evil will become. When it gets out of control, it does not matter whether or not the evil originated within someone own thoughts. The problem is that it now has a life of its own and will destroy the individual if they let it.
How to overcome nightmares?
There are different ways of dealing with nightmares. First of all make the individual to be conscious of the fact that they are just dreaming and it is not real. If the person calms down, they come to know of the fact that they are dreaming. Here make the individual to divert his/her thoughts from there. This can be done by various method like if he/she is religious they can pray to God for guidance or they can think of pleasant peaceful thoughts. If an individual, who meditate or pray on a regular basis can easily overcome these nightmares.
Develop that feeling of being connected to the God. To overcome the situations chant the prayer to develop the feeling of pure love, peace and safety. It needs practice but it is possible. If you are not religious, try meditating; which will helps you create a peaceful feeling. This will definitely help you to deal with the horrifying nightmares.
Generally children have a difficult time with nightmares. They find it difficult to differentiating between dreams and reality. It is upon you to help your children to overcome this situation. Be creative in helping them to deal with their nightmares. Ask them to divert their mind from there and think something pleasant like they can think of some funny stories, or simply ask the monster to go away. These are the tricks to make your child overcome the problem.
