Two bombs were found and defused

Today : Two bombs were found and defused in Surat.
While one bomb planted near the police station in Ladeshwar area was defused by the bomb disposal squad, the second one was deactivated in Santoshi Nagar area, police said.
Two bombs were also found and defused in the city in the past two days.
On Sunday, police had also seized two cars loaded with explosives. The seizures came a day after 16 blasts rocked Ahmedabad, leaving 49 people dead and injuring over 150.
A large quantity of explosives, shrapnels and timing devices was found in the cars bearing fake number plates.
Police had on Monday released the sketch of a suspect who might have parked one of the cars in Heerabaugh area. The sketch was based on the description given by a watchman of a nearby building, who claimed he saw the man parking the vehicle.
