1. Demand for abolition of the post of Conservator.
The Commission, accordingly, recommends that the post of Conservator of Forest in IFS cadres of different States should continue.
2. Demand more deputation posts in the centre.
The revised mechanism for deputation recommended in its Report will address this demand.
3. Demarnd for Upgradation of the post of Director, IGNFA
Presently, the post of Director of the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) is in the pay scale of Rs.22400-24500. Keeping in view the increased role of training, especially in the crucial field relating to conservation,
the Commission recommends that the post should be upgraded to the scale of Rs.26,000 (fixed) corresponding to the revised pay scale of Rs.80,000 (fixed).
