Central Government employees’ DA raised by 6%

In its article the Zeenews Bureau writes -As a festival gift to the Central government employees, the Union Cabinet on Friday decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 6 per cent and an identical rate of dearness relief to pensioners before Holi. The DA will be increased from 41 per cent of the gross salary to 47 per cent.
The hike will be applicable from January 1, 2008, which means that the employees will also get the salary arrears just before Holi. READ MORE…
