Rogers Wireless launches “Talking Cellphone” for customers with vision loss
“Nuance TALKS essentially turns the Nokia 6682RVI handset into a “talking phone” by converting menus, instructions and content displayed on the screen into audio output through its internal speaker, or an optional wired or Bluetooth headset. ”
With audio feedback, send and receive emails and text messages
Customize phone settings and profiles according to personal preferences
Monitor status indicators for battery, network, etc.
Manage call logs and personal phone directory
Use calendar, notes, (Increase/decrease volume of voice synthesizer)
Increase/decrease speaking rate
Available in English and French
