Canon PowerShot A570 IS Review at Steves Digicam
December 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

In its Review of Canon Powershot A570 IS, the Steves Digicam writes “Our indoor and outdoor portrait results were good. While the dedicated Portrait scene mode does well, I also used the Av (Aperture priority) mode. Doing so with the aperture value set as low as possible (usually f/4.5 - f/5.0 at the mid telephoto end of the zoom range) produced nice close-up portraits, showing sharp facial features and natural skin tones. Canon’s new Face Detection AF/AE/FE technology seems to work very well, even when there are multiple faces in the frame. When using the flash, I found it produced good exposures as long as you are with in the 11 foot range (wide angle, ISO auto.) I achieved great results shooting from 5 - 6 feet away using the mid telephoto end of the zoom. If you need even more flash power, this model is compatible with the optional Canon HF-DC1 flash unit, which can deliver illumination for up to approximately 30 feet!“.

- Canon Powershot SD750 Review at Imaging resource Imaging Resource in its review of Canon Powershot SD750 writes "There's no optical viewfinder on the Canon SD750. There's no room for one, with that huge 3-inch display. But here's the good news. The Canon SD750's big LCD is up to the job in full sunlight. Its anti-reflection coating really does work, and it's bright enough that you can compose your images with the sun falling on it. That's pretty ...

- Canon PowerShot G9 Review at Cnet In its Verdict of Canon Powershot G9, the Cnet writes "Performance remains essentially unchanged from the G7. Time to first shot is a quick 1.7 seconds, though not quite as fast as the G7's 1.5-second start. In bright light, a relatively quick focus helps keep the shutter lag to a manageable 0.5 second. In dim light, that increases to a second. Two shots in a row have a decent 2-second gap between...
