Canon PowerShot G9 Review at Cnet

Canon Powershot G9In its Verdict of Canon Powershot G9, the Cnet writes “Performance remains essentially unchanged from the G7. Time to first shot is a quick 1.7 seconds, though not quite as fast as the G7’s 1.5-second start. In bright light, a relatively quick focus helps keep the shutter lag to a manageable 0.5 second. In dim light, that increases to a second. Two shots in a row have a decent 2-second gap between, and adding flash recycle bumps that to only 2.3 seconds. Continuous shooting is down from 36 in the G7 to somewhere between 17 and 19 frames, but it’s faster–2.3 frames per second (fps) at a low resolution, but more typically 1.7 fps”. A rating of 8 out of 10 is given by Cnet.

    • In its Review of Canon Powershot A720 , Steves Digicam writes "The body of the camera is very comfortable to hold, as it was designed with an enlarged grip on the right side. The plastic construction not only makes for a tough, durable body, it also keeps the weight of the camera down. Featured on the grip of the camera are the camera controls. They allow for easy navigation of the camera's featur...

    • In its Review Verdict of Canon EOS 400D Cnet writes "Although much of the design remains the same as the XT's--it comes in either black or metallic-silver plastic--there are a couple of key changes. The LCD display grew from 1.8 to 2.5 inches, which essentially squeezed the status/info LCD into the ether. On one hand, using the main LCD allows for an exceptionally readable, in-your-face me...

    • In its Review of Canon Power Shot S3, the Digital Camera info writes "The Canon PowerShot S3 IS has a lot of solid functions, but its actual image quality has yet to be tested. Its predecessor, the S2, produced noisy images that didn’t have great colors for a Canon. Still, the S3 has a whole new image sensor. With a 6 megapixel 1/2.5-inch CCD that is more sensitive, the Canon S3 has com...

    • In its Review of Canon Powershot SD600, Pop Photo writes "The one area in which the SD600 lacked in performance was its battery life. You will probably need to purchase an extra battery if you are at an event where you plan to take a significant amount of images, or to shoot movies. CIPA estimates the battery will take up to 160 photos with the LCD on when fully charged." Get the Price of C...

    • Canon PowerShot G9 Review at Digital Camera Info
    • In its Verdict of Canon Powershot G9, the Digital Camera Info writes "Canon made a lot of improvements on the PowerShot G9 – most notably the image quality, LCD screen, and RAW file capability. Our tests prove the G9 has significantl...
