Speed of Canon SX10 – The startup time for Canon SX10 is 1.9 seconds. The similar delay of 1.9 seconds is between the shots. The shutter lag is typically 0.08 seconds. The Zooming and Photo snap is quite ok for this type of camera. In my opinion the Canon SX10 speed is good.

Image quality - The Image quality of Canon SX10 is crisp and sharp. The pictures were suitable for all print sizes. The camera gives red and yellows as slighly over saturated in few areas, but overall it is tolerated.  At ISO 400 the noise is less and good for big prints. In indoor the noise is also there.

Conclusion - In my view the Canon SX10 is one of Very Good Cameras. The 20X zoom and rotating LCD are unique to this camera in this range. The all new Digic-IV processor ,  Face Detection, Servo AF, and Intelligent Contrast Correction are good to see in this camera. I would recommend this camera for amateur photographer. I suggest buying a tripod with this camera which will help is taking steady shots.
