Canon Powershot SD700Verdict - The Performace of the Canon Powershot SD700 is quite good. The Image Stabilization is effective. Over all 7.1 out of 10.

The Canon Powershot SD700 is 6 Mega Pixel Camera with 4X Optical Zoom and 4X Digital Zoom. The Camera is equipped with Digic II and has 2.5 inch LCD with 173K resolution.

The New ISO 800 reduces Image Blur and low light shooting problems. The Camera has 16:9 viewing mode to view your photos on widescreen TVs and Computer Monitors.

The Camera has movie modes of (640 x 480 pixels) VGA (30 fps) and QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA (15 fps). The Camera can record these formats upto 1 GB or 1 Hour.

The Camera does not have shutter or exposure modes but lot of scene modes are available such as Underwater, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Auto, Camera M, Special Scene (Portrait, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, , My Colors, Stitch Assist, Movie , Night Snapshot, Color Accent, Color Swap), Digital Macro.

The Flash Recycle time is 10 seconds. The range of Flash in Wide Normal mode is 1.6-11.5 ft./50cm - 3.5m and in telephoto mode it is 1.6-6.6 ft./50cm - 2.0m. The Falsh can be set to Auto, Auto with red eye reduction, Slow Synchro, Flash On, Flash Off, Flash on with red eye reduction. The self timer works from 2 seconds to 10 seconds.
